Maï Bouvier jeune en train de peindre

An artist with an innate vocation, Maï has always felt the need to create. She started drawing at an early age before turning to painting as an adult.

Later, she also explored other forms of creation such as jewelry and ceramics. After studying art, she worked for several years as a graphic designer before changing her path to express herself more freely.

For Maï, making art gives meaning to her life and, by sharing it with the world, she hopes to contribute to making it better.

In her abstract paintings, Maï juxtaposes colored sets worked in transparency, with black and white forms that intermingle and drip along the immaculate canvases, without ever mixing.

A precious aspect brought by a golden touch always completes her creations. She admires urban art, Jackson Pollock's dripping and Kazuo Shiraga's gesturalism.

Sensitive and attentive to others, the artist is also greatly inspired by psychology. In his art, the brightness of the colors reminds us of joy and lightness while the darker layers symbolize the depth of our feelings and evoke the Rorschach tests.

Her unpredictable style reflects the vagaries of life. With her inspiring works, Maï encourages us to accept our emotions and to face our trials, even the most difficult ones, because they can help us grow and progress.

Maï Bouvier has a bachelor's degree in arts and crafts and a title of Graphic Designer obtained at the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués in Rennes (France).
