Artist's statement

 

Maï Bouvier is a contemporary French artist who creates abstract paintings designed to soothe the spirit of those who gaze upon them.

Through her works, she captures the subtle nuances of human emotions, creating compositions that reflect their richness and complexity.

In Maï Bouvier's work, two moods coexist, symbolizing, when they face each other, the contradictions of life.

Colorful, soft, airy and balanced works stand in contrast to darker, wilder and more chaotic ones. This duality allows Maï Bouvier to represent the contrasts of life: the ups and downs of life, positive and negative emotions, good and bad experiences...

Maï Bouvier herself has gone through difficult phases and, through her paintings, she wishes to encourage viewers to connect with their feelings and accept their emotions, both good and bad, for it is these that enable us to grow and evolve.
